New Members
Praise God for 23 new members who united with the church last night during our 4th of July Celebration! (It's a little strange to have a Fourth of July celebration with no fireworks due to a burn ban and all the more when it's on the second instead of the fourth, but we had a great time anyway.) Right at 100 people attended Sunday night's activities. Everyone had so much fun playing, talking, competing in games and competitions...that we finally had to kick everyone that was left out at about 10:30 p.m.
The greatest part of the night was surely the new members. As pastor, I cannot tell you how excited I am. I am here to serve you, and I believe Harvest will continue to grow as we see God taking us to new heights every week. See you Sunday at 9 for Sunday School and at 10 as we continue the series "The Cross- Divine Healing".

Independence Weekend at Harvest
This weekend, I will be preaching on "The Cross- Provision for Healing and Abundant Life". While the service will not revolve around the 4th of July theme, we will take a moment to honor Harvest's current military and veterans. Harvest prays for and supports our troops. We appreciate all that you are doing for our country's continued freedom.
See you Sunday at 9 for Sunday School and 10 for the main service.

The Cross
Currently I am teaching a sermon series on "The Cross".
Last week, I discussed "The Cross: How Does It Actually Save Anyone?". Tommorrow, I will teach on "The Cross: A Call to Discipleship" and next week, I will bring the message "The Cross: Payment for Abundant Life and Physical Healing".
The Cross has become nothing more than a confusing symbol that is misunderstood by so many people, but the Word reminds us that it is the preaching of this cross which unlocks the mystery of the Gospel. Don't miss this exciting series concerning: the price paid by Christ which we could and can never, ever pay, the life we should live in response to God's incredible love and the incredible benefits of the Lord's sacrifice even in this life. The cross was a legal payment demanded by a righteous judge. The cross is a symbol for disciples of Christ to emulate spiritually. The cross is the key to changing our lives even in this world.
Come and bring a friend as we study the power of the Cross.

Kids Crusade a Great Success
Kids Crusade 2006 was a great success with around 200 different people attending and many children making decisions for Christ. Each night was marked with Spirit filled excitement and puppets, high power kids praise music, "Soldiers of God" Christian Dance Team, offering contests, great games, praise and worship, Pastor Debbie bringing the Word and an altar time. The Friday night finale also included the dunking booth, Moon walk, popcorn machine, sno cones and much more outside fun.

Kids Crusade is coming up in just a few days (June 14-16) with puppets, Bible stories, competitions, games, great music, food and much more all designed for kids ages 4-11. Be sure to be here with your family, friends and neighborhood children. NO Nursery will be provided as these services are designed for ages 4 and up.
Dr. Carpenter
Dr. Ronald Carpenter's visit (May 27,28) was a great time for the church and other churches who participated. (Dr. Carpenter is the Vice Chairman for the IPHC and Director for Evangelism USA). On Saturday night, Dr. Carpenter preached on how to know the will of God for your life and on Sunday morning, he ministered concerning "Redemptive Lift" and how a church that grows quickly must minister to and love all people that God places in our sphere of ministry outreach. Let's remember the bishop's challenging words and minister to those who Jesus ministered to... "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. " Psalms 147:3
