Happy New Year
Hope you are having a great new year so far. Harvest is off to a running start with new ministries like Royal Rangers and Missionettes for children and the LIFE program for teens. We will also have nominations for the churches first deacons on Jan the 8th and we will install the churches' first deacons and elders on Sunday, January 15th. Excitement fills the air with great anticipation for all that will happen in 2006. for many of us in Escambia and Santa Rosa County, the truth is while thousands were devasted by Katrina, we still tried to put our lives back together from the lasting effects of the destruction of Ivan, the slam of Dennis and the light touch of Katrina. This year we are excited for all of those including our church which have been able to finally rebuild the majority of their homes, businesses, church and other vital properties. We pray for those who still battle selfish insurance companies and rejoice with those whose insurance companies did them right. With this new year, we have another opportunity to move forward in life, as the Apostle Paul said, putting the past behind. We pray and believe that 2006 will be the best year you have ever had and that if you don't have a church which you attend every week, that you will come to find a place of worship, warmth and love at Harvest. No matter what you have faced last year or in the past, remember, God gives us a great gift of a fresh start every year...January!
