An Easter with Signs
Ladies and gentlemen, it has arrived once again...Easter is upon us. This year, there will be no church sign (it was removed to make way for the new one scheduled to arrive on April 21), but let us expect and believe for signs to follow those who believe. The service this week will be powerful with a creative dance team presentation of "My Redeemer Lives", and I will preach a message entitled "Moment of Decision". This sermon will utilize a scene from a new DVD release that you are sure to remember.
If you are wondering, the coffin was returned. I am told by many that the message "Six Feet Under" will not be quickly forgotten. This week, as a part of that dying process, lets "kill" our flesh's desire to be shy and not share the gospel with someone. Use your invite card and offer to bring a friend to church on Easter. The sign is not yet in place, the nursery is being remodeled and the hill is torn up from construction, but let us not forget the mission of the church to seek and save that which is lost. Just as we have come back from Ivan, there are still depressed people put there...bring them to the best anti-depressant in town- the healing presence of Jesus. Compel them to come in...they may make a good, moment of decision for eternity this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
